From the Spectrum we progressed onto the Commodore-64 and a
programme by Sublogic `Flight Simulator’  which gave better graphics
and a whole host of add on sceneries mostly in America but they did
create one if I remember correctly for England which covered from
the South Coast up to around Birmingham with the Commodore I
also purchased a separate disk-drive to allow me to use the add-ons.
The next progression was when my brother turned up with an `Amiga’
computer and Flight Simulator 2 this was a great improvement with
colour and much smoother graphics, when I say colour it was only I
think 16. The ground was green with pyramid mountains of a slightly
different green, the sea was blue, the sky a different blue, the roads
were grey lines and the towns were `Yellow’ made this colour because
the towns on the American aeronautical charts were yellow, but the
biggest improvement was sound, I would say the sound from the
Amiga was nearly as good as today’s computers, another  great  thing
with the Amiga was the ability to link 2  computers and fly together,
another milestone but the biggest and  most changing milestone for
me was the progression to the PC,a 10Mhz beast and Flight Simulator 4.
Sublogic scenery was available for the PC but England was exactly the
same as it was on the Commodore it finished at Birmingham everything
else was just green land and blue sea
