to the chaps who do it for real as some of these fields are very very difficult to see (made much easier by my NDB).
Anyway after finishing my scenery back in last September Microsoft in their infinite wisdom released SP2 and this totally screwed up not only my scenery but nearly everyone else's so I had to go back to before square 1 as I had used Abacus’s FSDS 3 and 3.5 to create most of my buildings and objects, well SP2 certainly didn’t like FSDS so I either had to call it a day or learn Gmax which I had always shied away from as it looked so complicated but my brother helped me immensely in my quest to learn it (I have written a tutorial for beginners) and as I create mainly simple objects it was fairly easy so my object libraries began to grow again replacing all those ruined by SP2. I had to go over every airstrip replacing most of the buildings and objects, but I look on it as progress as the Gmax buildings are better and will last longer (hopefully).
One thing I haven’t mentioned is the `sound’, something I have never heard on other sceneries, farm sounds like cows, sheep, birds, seagulls when you are near the seaside and road traffic which I find make them even more interesting. My scenery is not brilliant but it adds a whole new dimension for people who like real flying. I have just finished Version-2 of Northern-Microlight’s you can now use it on its own with FSX, no need for add-ons but I do stress that it is not as good without the VFR Sceneries.
